This weekend I was visited by my beautiful friend Michelle and her little guy Jeremiah.
They are currently stationed in Savannah, Georgia. I hadn’t seen her in over 3 years so it was so nice to be able to spend some time with them. Plus I hadn’t ever met her little guy. Who is the cutest ever!

It was so much fun to be able to hang out with them. I am hoping to be able to visit them next year. They are only a few hours away from Disney World so a Disney Race may be in my near future :)

I spontaneously registered for a trail race this Saturday. Well maybe not too spontaneous, I had been thinking about it for a few weeks and decided just to go for it. I was a little hesitant only cause it’s title is Boise Foothills XC12k Race which means 1. it’s on trails and I have not run on the Boise trails before 2. it’s title has the word hills in it and I haven’t done ANY hill training since Seattle RnR Marathon. But I figured it will be a fun experience, not like I’m trying to win the race. There’s a cap of 200 people and there’s only 2 spots left so it should be a great small race.

Looks like a steady climb for the first 4 miles. FUN!! And the best part is I registered Gene for it too! So at least I won’t be out there alone

I went to Target tonight and picked up the coolest polish ever!
It’s an overcoat that crackles as it dries. You can put it over any color. I put on a blue base and the pink crackle over coat
I bought the Fuchsia Shock and Vintage Violet but I want to go back for more colors.

Good luck at your trail race! I can't even fathom running up hills and such. I am happy to be living in the flattest part of the world in Louisiana when it comes to that.
