So this past weekend we went camping, only for one night though. We went with some friends to a beautiful campsite about 45 minutes away from Boise. It was so much fun!
Our campsite was right off the creek which helped to cool us off since there was no shade and probably around 96 degrees.
My little man had some fun in the sand
Lilly loved hanging out in the creek with our friends Tyler and Adrea. But she was very protective of me standing in the middle of the creek alone. She would bark at me constantly. I think she was telling me to be careful…yes I understand doggy language :)
Even Dash went for a little swim which was funny to watch. He was very cold after so I wrapped him up.
Gordies isn’t much of a water lover so she just hung out in any shade she could find
The best part was that there was a ton of butterflies right around our campsite. I love butterflies!
Can you see them flying around?
I even got to pick one up! You can tell I’m excited by my big smile
Tyler wanted to lay down to see if they would land on his stomach. Yea it didn’t work. But I had to strike a pose when I saw the camera pointing my way :)
Later that night we ate smore’s and told ghost stories.
The next morning Lilly was cold so she sat in front of the fire all wrapped up.
I was happy to be able to spend some quality time with my boys
We have another camping trip planned later this month with our neighbors. This place will have running water and porta potties, which I prefer especially if we are staying more than one night. It’s so much easier for boys. I think I need to plan a trip to Cabela’s to see what fun camping stuff we can find.
Do you guys like camping?
Our neighbors have a pop up tent trailer which I think is awesome. I would probably go on more camping trips if I had one.
I love to camp but I haven't been camping in years. I hope we get the chance to go before our move.
ReplyDeleteI love all the pics, especially of your dog all cuddled up
So much fun! I haven't been camping in years, but I would like to now that we live somewhere with plenty of sites nearby.
ReplyDeleteI love camping! I am going with my family later this summer to the finger lakes in NY.....that means wineries!!!
ReplyDeleteI use to camp when I was little every weekend with my parents. We started with tents than finally got a camper. Boy I loved that camper. Tent camping can be rough sometimes. I kind of got to the point I really didnt like to camp because I felt like all we did was eat all day. Not good if you have a weight problem you are trying to keep in check. Some friends of our got a camper to camp at the county fair to show their animals. We had so much fun at their camp site that I ask my hubby maybe we should get a camper. That was 5 years ago and I am loving it all over again. I still like to eat my way threw the days but I try to eat alittle healthier now that I'm buying the food. Plus I still have my running. So life is good. You have a great looking family and dogs too. Loved all of you pictures. There are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! But i agree...give me a working toilet. :)
ReplyDeleteI love camping!! It's so relaxing. The only thing I don't like is how dirty I feel afterwards. It's worth it though because we have so much fun.
ReplyDeletewhat a beautiful place to spend the weekend! i've actually never been camping.
ReplyDeleteLoving all of your camping pictures and I am totally jealous! The hub and I have wanted to go camping, but haven't had a chance to make it out yet! I am obviously behind on your blog...UGH. Catching up!
