We decided to drive up to Seattle Thursday morning. Washington of course welcomed us with rain.
Dash picked out his favorite spot for the ride up
Once we got to Tacoma I had to take a pic of my beloved water front where most of my runs occurred when I lived there.
And I of course had to take a pic of 30th street hill. Maybe I will get to run up it one day again.
We stayed with some friends in south Seattle and they have 2 Chihuahuas of their own so Dash loved every minute we were there.
Ken Ken is on the left, Dash in the middle and Pepper on the right.
On Friday I met up with Tiffany and her husband and kiddos to pick up my race packet and check out the awesome expo.
Race bib for marathon number 3!!
Expo fun with Tiffany!
The expo had something for everyone :)
After the expo we had lunch and then headed over to Tacoma and had to rush back up to Tukwila for the bloggy dinner hosted by Mel Tall Mom on the Run
I didn’t take any pics (bad blogger I know) but I “borrowed” this from Jess @ Blonde Ponytail
I was really excited to meet these ladies who’s blogs I’ve been reading for a while and who inspire me.
Sad I didn’t get to meet the famous EMZ at the race tho!
I was excited to meet other bloggers that I now follow thanks to Zoe for created some awesome trading cards with everyone's blogs listed on them! And thanks to Kerri for creating some super cool name tags! Both of them inspire me. They ran their first marathon together every step of the way! I got to chat with them for a little bit and see them a few times along the course.
We also got an awesome goodie bag thanks to OnlineShoes.com that had some great some from NUUN and Gu
I was a little sad I didn’t get to meet up with Tiffany at the start of the race and run a few miles with her. We haven’t ran together in such a long time! She owes me a race… when you coming to run one here Tiff?? :)
But we got plenty of pics after the race together.
I also got a post race massage from the cutest little guy ever! Tiffany’s little guy.
Afterwards we went to have some lunch at the Cheesecake factory! Yummy!
We finally ended the night with a drink at Naked City Brewery
I had a yummy Ace Pear
I loved every minute of being back in Washington. I can’t wait to go back. Maybe sometime this fall for another race!
